I am Assistant Professor of the History and Philosophy of Science in the John V. Roach Honors College at Texas Christian University. For Fall 2017, I’ll be a Visiting Assistant Professor in the School of Philosophy at University College Dublin in Ireland. My work concerns the structure of concepts and its relation to inquiry, particularly in cognitive science.

Methods under the Microscope: Investigating Methdological Diversity in Philosophy

This workshop explores philosophical perspectives on methodology and methodological diversity. What can philosophers learn from the methods of other disciplines? Is the analytic/continental divide a methodological divide? In what ways should philosophers be accountable to empirical facts? And do philosophers have genuine expertise in their own methods?
